We are pleased to welcome 8 bouncing babies to the brood. Nettie gave birth very easily to 5 girls and 3 boys on and all are thriving.

Full of the joys of spring

Today has been a lovely day, reminding us that the better weather will hopefully soon be making a more frequent appearance.

We had a lovely day at Okehampton Open Show on Saturday. It was the HWVs first show in nearly a year and Pearls first show in about two! They all did me proud!

Nettie won her class and came BOB, Cezar second and reserve BOB and Pomme, handled by Isla was awarded reserve. Pearl won her class. We may have to get out more often!

It’s incredible to think that January is already at an end and with it the end of the shooting season. We have had a brilliant season. The girls have really clicked enough with what is required that I am able to take three of them out when we are short and the boys have experienced three new shoots with Richard during the season.

It is always lovely to receive photos of puppies/dogs that we have had a hand in breeding, it reminds us why we do it because sometimes despite our best efforts it can be tough! The following photo was sent to me today; his dad is our Cezar and his granddad our Herby!

We decided to let CC go to a new home with a lovely family so it was nice to have a visit from one of Pearl’s other pups this weekend for a puppy fix.

So all pointer pups have now gone… however, we do know of a lovely litter for anyone looking – please contact us for details.

Most of Pearl’s pups have now headed off to their new homes. They have been a fantastic litter and we have enjoyed helping Pearl raise her lovely brood. We still have two with us here, a lovely liver boy who is available and an orange girl who we are still umming and erring whether to keep!
